Welcome to the website of Berna Lamers, professional artist. I specialize in drawing people and animals.
From my younger years, drawing and painting are my greatest passion. Lately I specialised in painting humans and animals. I work from pictures. So it's a challenge, each time again, to immortalize the charactertrait of human or animal on paper or linen. The eyes are the most important; they have to show the character and capture the soul of the person or animal portrayed. I regularly make drawings / paintings of people and animals who passed away.
I make these realistic portraits based on photos with oil paint and pastel chalk. I also paint Christmas balls with a portrait of a pet or person on it. Pastel drawing Belgian shepherd "Ozzy" continuation
I drew the portrait of the Malinois shepherd Ozzy on the paper and the eyes and ears worked out so far. It was a dark day today to draw, but I am certainly not dissatisfied.
